In most cases, if a second stimulus check is approved, the IRS will send your check automatically.
However, SSDI recipients are likely to receive payment through a non-Direct Express bank account or as a paper check.
To make sure you are approved for a possible second-round payment, SSDI recipients are encouraged to register as “Non-Filers” on the IRS website by November 21, 2020.
US citizens and permanent residents should use this online tool if their gross income did not exceed $12,200 individually (or $24,400 for married couples) in 2019. The IRS will use this information to determine your eligibility and payment amount.
